Welcome to top 10 tallest building in Dubai competition 2018. I am sure before even we start everyone know which will be the tallest building in Dubai. But I’m sure most of you don’t know the 2nd tallest building and so on. So let’s begin.
Burj Khalifa, (Height 828m) Cost $1.5 Billion
Burj Khalifa is an icon of Dubai, this skyscraper architecture isn’t just the tallest in Dubai but in the world as most of you know already. The construction of Burj Khalifa was started in around 2004 and took around 5 years to complete in 2009. It counts to 163 floors and is been the world’s tallest structure for almost 9 years so far. It has been featured in Hollywood movies such as Mission Impossible Ghost Protocols
- Marina 101, (Height 426m) Cost $355 Million
Marina 101 is a 2nd tallest building in Dubai. It was named Marina 101 because it has 101 floors. It’s the tallest building in Dubai Marina. The building was completed in 2016. From 1st to 33rd floors of the building belong to 5 star hotel called Hard Rock Hotel with 281 rooms. The rest of the floors are residential. The 101st floor of the skyscraper features a club lounge, restaurant and a Rock Shop merchandise store.
- Princess Tower, (Height 414m) Cost $214 Million
Princess Tower also has 101 stories equal to Marina 101 but slightly shorter in term of over all height. Construction was began in 2005 and completed in 2012. Princess tower was the tallest residential building till 2015 its also located in Dubai Marina.
- 23 Marina, (Height 393m)
23 Marina is 393 meters tall and has 88 stories. This was the world tallest residential till 2015 before Princess Tower was completed mentioned above. The tower has 57 swimming pools. 79 percent of the tower apartment was sold even before the construction started.
- Elite Residence, (Height 380m) Cost $462 Million
Ellite Residence is located in Dubai Marina. The tower is overlooking palm island, Palm Jumeirah. The tower has 87 floors. The tower has Spas, Swimming pools, health club, business center, gymnasium etc. the construction was started in 2007 and completed in 2012. It was world’s 3rd tallest residential building when completed.
- The Address The BLVD (Height 368m)
The Address Boulevard is the 2nd tallest building located next to Burj Khalifa in Downtown. The construction was started in 2012 and completed in 2017. The tower has 72 floors, 196 five star hotel rooms operated by The Address Hotel and 523 serviced residence rooms. The Tower provides stunning view of Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall Fountain etc.
- Almas Tower (Height 363m)
Almas Tower was Dubai’s tallest tower when completed in 2008. It is located in JLT (Jumeirah Lakes Tower) and still the tallest tower in JLT. The tower is constructed on its own manmade island. It has 68 floors.
- Gevora Hotel (Height 356m)
Gevora hotel is officially named the tallest hotel in the world. The hotel has 75 floors and has 532 rooms. Construction started in 2005 and completed in 2017. Gevora isn’t only a hotel but also provide a spectacular city view from its rooftop. The tickets are available 100 AED for adults and 50 AED for children. Opening hours are 10am to 9pm seven days a week. The hotel is located on Sheikh Zayed Road near to Emirates Tower.
- JW Marriott Marquis Dubai 1 (Height 355m) Cost 490 Million
JW Marriott Marquis Dubai is the second tallest hotel in the world after Gevora Hotel mentioned above. Construction of twin tower hotel was started in 2006 and completed in 2012. It’s a 72 story tall and only 1 meter smaller than Gevora hotel.
